Homemade desserts are always the best

One of the most inviting scents is certainly that of freshly baked desserts: this is why we all love to prepare them at home, dedicating ourselves to an activity that becomes easier using the right tools.

With the planetary mixer, for example, preparing any dessert is really easy: just dose the ingredients, put them in the bowl, following the instructions of the recipe and let the double movement of the whips mix everything perfectly.

And the result will be doubly gratifying: we will have the opportunity to taste and offer a delicious dessert, with the satisfaction of having made it personally, with minimal effort.

The tart: a timeless and tasty classic

Among the most loved desserts of all, the tart occupies a place of honor: the fragrant shortcrust pastry shell contains an exquisite filling, to be chosen according to personal taste.

Jam or jam, cocoa cream or pastry cream garnished with fresh fruit, any filling is ideal for the tart, an easy dessert that becomes really easy if we delegate the task of kneading the pastry base to the planetary mixer.

Kneader: a great help in the kitchen

Making desserts at home is not just a pleasure, it often becomes a passion to be cultivated, to achieve ever better results.

But we know that pastry requires precision and attention: the instructions for the doses must be followed to the letter and you must have a certain manual skill in mixing the compounds.

This second activity, however, becomes much simpler if we use a planetary mixer which, thanks to the whisk, perfectly realizes any type of dough.

The planetary mixer also has an important added value: when it is equipped with accessories, it represents a multifunctional tool for many preparations, a precious helper that, over time, becomes indispensable.

Preparation of the fruit tart: recipe

Suitable for all seasons and all occasions, from snack to after dinner, the fruit tart is a very versatile dessert, because it offers the possibility of combining your favorite fresh fruit with the custard.

Let's see together how to prepare it using the planetary mixer to knead the pastry.

To make the "shell" of the tart we will need:

  • 400 g of flour 00
  • 120 g of granulated sugar
  • 250 g of cold butter
  • 2 whole eggs and 1 yolk
  • the grated rind of a lemon

Pour the diced butter, sugar and lemon zest into the bowl of the planetary mixer, then operate the machine for 20 seconds, starting to knead with the "leaf" whisk.

Then we will add, in sequence, the eggs and the flour: start kneading again for another 20 seconds and as soon as the mixture appears homogeneous, turn off the machine.

Take the dough from the bowl and let it rest in the fridge, wrapped in cling film, for at least 40 minutes.

During the rest time of the dough, we prepare a classic custard and dedicate ourselves to peeling and cutting the fruit we have chosen to garnish the tart.

Then, let's move on to the "white" cooking of the base, or put the pastry in the oven, without filling, inside a pan with a diameter of about 26 cm, after having pierced the bottom. By cooking for about 25 minutes at 180 °, the pastry base will acquire a beautiful golden and homogeneous color, while a delicious scent will spread in the air. When the shortcrust pastry has cooled down, let us unleash our imagination and decorate it with the cream and diced fruit.

If desired, we can "polish" the surface of the tart with a homemade jelly, letting 150 ml of water, 45 g of sugar and 1 tablespoon of corn starch dissolve in a saucepan (over low heat).


We only need a few minutes to make an excellent shortcrust pastry with the planetary mixer, which blends all the ingredients perfectly, without leaving lumps and always guaranteeing an excellent result without any effort.
